Grandmaster Allan W. Fong

What is Wing Tsjun?

Wing Tsjun (WT) comes from China and belongs to the

Kung-Fu (Chinese for “hard work”) family of martial arts.

According to legend, this martial arts system was developed around 300 years ago during the Chinese civil war by two women.  Over many years the system was passed down

and improved within a close circle of friends and family.

Use the strength of the opponent

Wing Tsjun does not see itself as a sport, because real-life self

defense does not, unfortunately, follow the rules of a sport.

The goal of this self defense art is to pass on knowledge and

techniques which enable a person to be capable of action in

dangerous situations.

One cannot confront a physically superior opponent directly with

strength.  Consequently, WT follows simple and quick-to-learn,

but extremely well-thought-out principles, which do not rely on

the application of one’s own strength.  In this way, it is possible

for a “weak” person to defend themselves against a “strong”

attacker.
